Middlesbrough will face Leeds United at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

Bernie Slaven has taken to social networking site Twitter to wish Middlesbrough the best of luck against Leeds United this afternoon.
Middlesbrough will take on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship in a few hours’ time.
Slaven, who is a Boro legend and played for the club as a forward in the 1980s and 1990s, seems to have taken a dig at the Leeds, branding them a ‘so-called big team’.

Leeds are in a bad run of form at the moment, while Middlesbrough are playing well and are back in the race for the Championship playoffs.
The Whites need to score the first goal at Elland Road this afternoon to boost their confidence and enhance their chances of winning the match.
Middlesbrough midfielder Jonny Howson is likely to feature in this afternoon’s match, and the 29-year-old has said that he looks out for Leeds’s results, having started his professional club football career at Elland Road.
“I grew up supporting the team and have still looked for the results when I moved on,” Howson told The Express. “But when it comes to game day it’s about putting a professional head on.
“I’ve got a job to do for Middlesbrough football club and I’ll be giving it my all to try and get three points for the team.”
