Middlesbrough have suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Championship.

Joe Lolley scored twice for the Reds, and Alexander Milosevic added a third for Martin O’Neill.

The result means that Boro are now seventh in the Championship table with 67 points from 44 matches, level on points with Derby County, who currently sixth in the standing and have played 43 games.

Former Middlesbrough forward Slaven was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat for Tony Pulis’s side.

Playoff hopes gone?

Middlesbrough can still finish in the top six of the Championship table this season, but they do not have their destiny in their own hands.

Derby have a game in hand, and the Rams will fancy their chances of clinching the sixth and final playoff spot.

Boro’s final two league matches are against Reading at the Riverside Stadium and against Rotherham United away from home.
