Victor Orta left Middlesbrough in the summer to join Leeds United.

Slaven, who played for Middlesbrough as a forward in the 1980s and 1990s, is not impressed with the signings that Orta made when he was at the Riverside Stadium.
As reported by GazetteLive, the Spaniard was Middlesbrough’s chief scout from December 2015 until the end of last season.
Orta was then appointed in his current role at Leeds and made a number of signings in the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard has come under criticism due to most of the new players’ disappointing performances of late.
Some Leeds fans actually want Orta gone and think that he is the main problem at the club, as reported by HITC Sport earlier this month.
Middlesbrough legend Slaven also seems to have criticised Orta for the signings he made at Boro.

“Orta was praised by Aitor Karanka for the job he was doing at Boro when they worked together,” Slaven wrote about Orta in GazetteLive.
“But the proof of the pudding is in the eating and how many of his signings came good? Not many, I would say.
“The January window was an absolute disaster. We were the lowest scoring team in the league so what did we do?
“We signed two strikers who had little or no Premier League experience and Adlene Guedioura. I rest my case.”
Middlesbrough will take on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship in a few hours’ time.
