Middlesbrough got the better of West Brom 1-0 at home in the Championship on Friday evening.
Daniel Ayala’s goal in the first minute of injury time proved to be the difference between the two sides at the Riverside Stadium.
Former Middlesbrough forward Slaven was following the match, and he was pleased with the win for Tony Pulis’s side.
The former Republic of Ireland international is also looking forward to Boro’s next Championship match, which is against Leeds.
Boro will face Rochdale at the Riverside Stadium in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening and will take on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship next Friday evening.
Both Leeds and Middlesbrough have started the season strongly, and the match at Elland Road next week promises to be hugely intriguing and could be very entertaining.
