Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has told Four Four Two that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur were ‘quality’ in the first half of Sunday’s game – but the Gunners showed they can play better than them.
The first North London derby of the season arrived on Sunday, with Spurs heading to the Emirates Stadium in need of a result to prove their credentials as a top Premier League team once again.
The 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United left some worried, whilst unconvincing points picked up against Aston Villa and Manchester City hadn’t done much to ease those fears.
Spurs were superb in the first half at Arsenal though, hitting the Gunners on the break to open the scoring through Christian Eriksen before Harry Kane made it 2-0 from the spot.
Tottenham were able to pick off Arsenal with great transition play, but Alexandre Lacazette’s goal back just before half time gave the Gunners something to work with.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended up clinching the equaliser in a 2-2 draw, but it could have gone either way in a breathless second half performance from both sides.

Now, goalkeeper Leno has reacted to the game by suggesting that Tottenham showed their quality in their first half performance, putting the rivalry aside to give an ‘honest’ assessment.
Leno did though suggest that Arsenal have shown they can play better than Tottenham, seemingly highlighting that greater consistency is needed in order to finish above Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.
“Today we showed that we can play better than them,” said Leno. “To be honest in the first half you saw the quality of Tottenham so again it will a very hard fight until the end of the season and then we will see who will be better,” he added.
