Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly keeping track of Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

SportBild has been speaking to the player this week about his future, after he saw his name linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Leno had this to say on the matter:

“It is an honour you when you are linked with Real Madrid.

“[But] in the current situation I want to fully focus on Leverkusen.”

The report went on to claim that both Tottenham and Manchester United also had the talented German on their radar.

The 25-year-old has been with Bayer Leverkusen since 2011 and has made four caps for the German senior national team so far. This season he has played 33 times for his club and has been one of the top performing goalkeepers in the Bundesliga.

Of course both sides already have fantastic goalkeepers. Many would suggest that Spurs captain Hugo Lloris and United’s Spanish star David De Dea are the two best goalkeepers in the Premier League but that has seen them catching fancying eyes from abroad and Leno would surely only be considered if either player left the Premier League.

If that was the case, then expect Leno to be one of the first names to be linked.
