Liverpool’s Christian Benteke could leave the club this summer.

According to the latest odds provided by Sky Bet, Crystal Palace are the current favourites to sign Liverpool’s out of favour striker Christian Benteke while Everton are third in the running.
The Belgium international only joined the Reds last summer, moving to Merseyside from Aston Villa after the club activated his whopping £32.5 million release clause (Sky Sports).
Benteke proved at Villa how capable he is in the Premier League, yet at Liverpool he struggled to adapt to the team’s style of play and soon found himself out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.

The former Villa man made just 14 Premier League starts last season, posting nine goals and three assists.
Benteke has subsequently been linked with a move away from the club this summer, and the most likely of destinations appeared to be West Ham United amid reports of a potential switch (the Mirror).
The Hammers are on the lookout for a new top striker and Benteke seemingly fits the criteria. However, as per the latest odds by Sky Bet, Crystal Palace are instead deemed the favourites to sign him.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew
The bookmakers have odds of Benteke joining the Eagles at 5/2, ahead of West Ham at 11/4.
Alan Pardew’s side are also in the hunt to sign a new target man this summer, though attempting to sign Benteke would be ambitious for a side who finished only five points above the relegation zone last term.
Everton are also among the leading candidates to sign Benteke in terms of odds, coming in at 6/1.
The Toffees may need to bring in a replacement for Romelu Lukaku should the fellow Belgian leave Goodison Park, though new boss Ronald Koeman could persuade the former Chelsea man to stick around.
Regardless, Everton need some fresh new faces in their squad though acquiring a player directly from Merseyside rivals Liverpool could turn out to be an all-but impossible task.
