Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT that Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold would be “unbelievable” for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes that Alexander-Arnold still remains a top right-back, and that if he left Liverpool and joined Manchester City, then he would be superb under manager Pep Guardiola.
The talkSPORT pundit made the comments about the 24-year-old England international right-back while discussing his performance for Liverpool against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
Alexander-Arnold has not been at his best this season, especially defensively, and the £160,000-a-week (SalarySport) right-back once again struggled against the defending European champions.

Bent said about Alexander-Arnold: “Imagine him playing for City? If Pep got hold of him, in that team, he would be unbelievable.”

HITC Verdict: Alexander-Arnold will get better
In our view, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will get better and improve in the coming years, and we do not believe that the Anfield faithful should have any concerns about him leaving for Manchester City.
True, Alexander-Arnold really struggled defensively against Real Madrid in Spain on Wednesday evening.
And the 24-year-old has been off his game all season.
But, Alexander-Arnold is only 24.
Let us not forget that.
We believe that the right-back is having a really bad season.
That is it.
Yes, of course, Alexander-Arnold needs to get better defensively, but that will happen.
After all, the Liverpool right-back is still very young and has time on his hands.
