However, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker – who is a boyhood Arsenal fan – does not think that Bale would even move to the Gunners.
The Wales international winger recently said that he is ready to leave Spanish and European giants Madrid, as quoted in The Times.
Bale moved to Los Blancos from Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham back in the summer of 2013.
The 31-year-old has won La Liga twice and the Champions League four times during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the winger has struggled for playing time in recent seasons and has had injury problems as well.
Bent said on talkSPORT (4:15pm, September 3, 2020): “I would love to. He is never going to go there, but I would love to.”
Unlikely Arsenal transfer
It is hard to see Bale join Arsenal, this summer or anytime in the future. After all, the Welshman is a former Tottenham player, and it is unlikely that he will want to cross the North London divide.
Moreover, the Gunners are not in a position at the moment to challenge for the Premier League or the Champions League.
Bale is used to winning big trophies and big competitions, and his annual salary of £30 million before tax – as reported by The Times – is also quite a lot for Arsenal.
