Former Tottenham defender still cares for his old team.
Tottenham line up before the game
Tottenham’s Champions League campaign got off to a poor start as they went 2-0 down to AS Monaco at Wembley.
Spurs had actually begun the game well, but were caught out on the counter attack, conceding twice.
The magnitude of the occasion had former Spurs defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto showing an interest, displaying that he still care for his former team.

Assou-Ekotto sent the following tweet after Toby Alderweireld scored his goal late in the first half.
Assou-Ekotto featured in Tottenham’s last Champions League run, playing in the victories over AC Milan back in 2011.
He left the club under a cloud, sidelined by successive managers, with Spurs paying off his contract after Mauricio Pochettino made clear he had no role to play.
The 32-year-old currently plays for Metz, and clearly harbours no hard feelings for his old side, cheering them on instead.
Who knows, he could rock up at Wembley for the remaining group games against Bayer Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow…
