Benjamin Sesko capped off an incredible run at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with a fantastic finish, giving Manchester United a 1-0 lead over Everton.
Man United’s win came after another slow start, but Michael Carrick reacted quickly in the second half by bringing Sesko off the bench.
With his goalscoring form as well, the Slovenian star deserves more minutes and proved that again by coming on and scoring the winner for the Red Devils with a lightning-quick counter-attack.
Since taking charge as head coach, Carrick has praised Sesko’s impact. After another game-changing display, it is clear the 22-year-old striker is ready for more starts.
Man United’s Benjamin Sesko showcased speed with goal vs Everton

When United were pursuing Sesko last summer, there was talk of scouts being impressed by both his technical skills and his physical attributes.
At 6ft 5in with a strong build, there was little concern over how he would handle the Premier League. Beyond that, his recorded top speed in the Bundesliga – over 35km/h – added another layer to what he could offer.
Even so, United fans had not really seen that pace come through in a match until that goal against Everton.
According to Sky Sports, Sesko covered about 70 yards from deep inside his own half, finishing off a counter-attack that started through Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Jamie Carragher reacts to Benjamin Sesko’s speed
In his post-match analysis on Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher could not believe the speed Sesko showed during the match at Goodison Park.
“He leaves [James] Tarkowski for dead. The pace is absolutely sensational,” Carragher said.
Carrick’s Manchester United side have become known for their counter-attacking approach, and it fits Sesko’s strengths perfectly.
The 22-year-old took his goal well and looked full of confidence, helped by his recent run of form in front of goal.
Sesko is not just a threat running in behind. His size also gives United a strong presence when they are trying to break down packed defences.
Ineos will be feeling more and more pleased with their decision to bring him in over the summer…
