After the break, Manchester United are set to return to Premier League action with a trip to Liverpool.

United picked up a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sunderland just before the October internationals, giving them a boost heading into the pause.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping that the time off hasn’t disrupted their momentum, especially with back-to-back league wins now hinging on this weekend’s clash against last season’s champions.

Benjamin Sesko found the net against Sunderland and has now scored twice in his last two appearances for United. The £66 million summer signing is starting to find his form.

The No.30 has already scored against Liverpool once before and will be looking to add another at Anfield this Sunday.

Sunday’s match comes with Liverpool on a three-game losing run across all competitions, and a United win would close the gap to just two points between the sides.

Coming off a solid outing against Sunderland, Benjamin Sesko is likely to get the nod again this weekend. The Slovenian has already shown he can deliver against Liverpool, having scored the winner in a pre-season friendly back in 2022.

The match was played in Austria, where Sesko scored the only goal, helping his side beat Jurgen Klopp’s team 1-0.

He picked up the ball just past the halfway line and raced towards goal, cutting through Ibrahima Konate before slotting past Adrian to score.

The Red Devils go into Sunday’s clash knowing that Liverpool have lost their last three matches in all competitions, and victory at Anfield would put United just two points behind their rivals.

Sesko also has previous experience of scoring against Liverpool, having found the net for RB Salzburg back in July 2022 during a pre-season friendly.

The forward raced away on the counterattack before finishing calmly past Adrian. United fans will be hoping he can repeat that moment on Merseyside this weekend.

Can Benjamin Sesko get another goal at Anfield?

Last time out at Anfield, Amorim’s team battled to a 2-2 draw, and this season they’ll be aiming to take all three points and hand Liverpool a fourth straight defeat.
