Tottenham Hotspur should consider a move for the Monaco defender.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Tottenham are heading into the new season with a real concern in both full-back departments.

Kieran Trippier has already left for Atletico Madrid, whilst Juan Foyth picked up an injury in pre-season.

On the other side, Danny Rose is still being heavily linked with a £20 million exit from Spurs, with the Sun reporting that PSG and Juventus want to sign the 29-year-old.

And with this in mind, Tottenham could kill two birds with one stone by attempting to sign Monaco ace Benjamin Henrichs.

Here’s three reasons why…

He can play left-back or right-back

The 22-year-old is wonderfully versatile, and can operate on either side of defence. This would obviously prove attractive to Spurs, with Pochettino in need of strengthening at both left-back and right-back.

Pace and attacking intent

Henrichs possesses blistering pace, and his game is based upon galloping forward and supporting his teammates in attack.

This would make him perfect for the way in which Tottenham play, and he would slot right in under Pochettino’s regime.

Price and availability

According to L’Equipe, the Monaco ace is available for just €35 million (£32 million) this summer and that would represent fantastic value for Tottenham, especially considering the fact that he can be deployed in two separate positions.

The German ace will only continue to get better, and he could become a true star under the guidance of Poch at Spurs.

And the Argentine must do all that he can to bring him to Tottenham this summer.
