Rafa Benitez has urged his Newcastle United team to keep concentrating on the task in hand following their 6-0 thrashing of QPR at Loftus Road on Tuesday night, reports the Chronicle.

Not since the 6-0 second division win over Preston North End in 1962 has a Newcastle side won by such a convincing scoreline away from St. James’ Park.
It’s also worth noting that it took United 10 Premier League matches to score six away goals last term – last night it took them little over an hour but Benitez is certain his side aren’t going to get carried away.

“It doesn’t matter if you score six goals, you get three points in the end,” Benitez was quoted by The Chronicle.
“I said before, we have to be sure we are concentrating for every game. Now I will say the same.
“This is a very difficult competition, but we have to carry on and not lose the concentration.”
Saturday sees Newcastle take on a Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park (3pm kick-off) looking to pick up their seventh consecutive victory in all competitions.
