Magpies boss Rafa Benitez highlighted the importance of everybody involved with the club remembering their special achievement this season, when speaking to reporters, and quoted via the Sun (page 52 of Monday’s print edition).
Newcastle were mightily impressive on the whole this season, despite the odd blip here and there, and have booked their place amongst England’s elite once again.
There has been genuine optimism on Tyneside, since the Spaniard’s appointment as manager, that the club can return to their former glories.
And Benitez shared how he insisted that every player and member of staff enjoy the moment yesterday by having their picture taken alongside the Championship trophy, as quoted by the Sun.

“At the end, I made sure every player, every staff member had a picture with the trophy. You have to remember these moments.”
Despite the euphoria currently surround the Toon, the harsh reality is that the hard work starts now, and Benitez must be smart in his player recruitment during the summer, if he is to guide his side to a successful campaign in the top flight.
In order to do that, he will have to be sufficiently backed by Mike Ashley, in a financial aspect, and maybe then the good times really will be on their way back to Newcastle.
