Everton face Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday evening, and it’s fair to say that the Toffees won’t be anticipating a big win here.

The Merseyside club haven’t won a game in two months at this point, and the last thing they need right now is to face their biggest rivals when they’re in red-hot form.

However, as the old cliché goes, form can go out of the window for these derby games, and if any manager is going to get one over Liverpool, it could well be Rafa Benitez.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Everton’s starting XI for this one.

We think that Benitez will make two changes from the side that lost to Brentford over the weekend.

Everton are struggling right now, but they can’t really call upon their squad due to injuries and suspensions to a number of rotation options.

Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina, Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all out, while Andre Gomes isn’t likely to be fit enough after returning to training this week.

Therefore, we expect Everton to start with the same defence, while Demarai Gray returns on the left of the midfield.

Alex Iwobi once again starts behind the striker, but we expect Salomon Rondon to drop out as Richarlison returns to the XI.
