Newcastle United fans will be expecting a lot from their team this season.
Newcastle have always been considered as one of England’s biggest clubs, despite their two relegations over the past eight years, but they are now really expected to kick on, with a manager of Benitez’s quality and reputation at the helm.

This summer hasn’t been an easy one for Magpies fans, however, with their club’s failure to secure deals for some of their top targets.
Things are beginning to look a little brighter, however, following the arrivals of Javi Manquillo and Jacob Murphy, but Benitez will undoubtedly be expecting to do more business in the three weeks that remain until the new Premier League campaign kicks off.
In the mean-time though, the Spaniard found time to praise the St James’ Park faithful, insisting that they are what makes Newcastle such a big club, as quoted by the Chronicle:
“The fans are really good. When you talk about big clubs we know why. It’s because we have fantastic fans behind the team.”
One thing is for sure, the Tyneside outfit will need their fans to be at their loyal and supportive best this season, with the step up to the Premier League likely to be an extremely challenging one for Rafa’s men.
