Newcastle United winger Kenedy has struggled this season.

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has told The Chronicle that Chelsea technical coach Paulo Ferreira has visited the club to discuss Kenedy’s situation.
Kenedy first joined Newcastle in January of last year, penning a loan deal until the end of the season, and he played a key role in helping the Magpies stay up.
Unsurprisingly, Newcastle returned to sign Kenedy again in the summer, and having failed to tempt Chelsea into a permanent deal, Kenedy returned to St James’ Park for a season-long loan.
The Brazilian was supposed to be a major signing for Newcastle based on last season’s showings, but he has registered just one goal and one assist this season.
Kenedy, 23, has struggled to break into the Newcastle starting line-up of late, and has been on the bench for recent games against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
With Kenedy benched and struggling this term, some have wondered whether he would be sent back to Chelsea, but January came and went without him returning to Stamford Bridge.

Now, ahead of Monday’s game against Wolves, Newcastle boss Benitez has revealed that Chelsea’s technical coach Paulo Ferreira, who manages the club’s loan players, has visited the club to discuss Kenedy’s situation.
Ferreira and Chelsea allegedly know that Kenedy isn’t at the same level as last season, but no talks about ending the loan were held, even if the Blues are seemingly concerned.
“Yes,” said Benitez. “Paulo Ferreira, who normally follows players on loan, he was here and we have been talking and when we were there, we were talking with them. They know he is not playing at the same level because they can see him when he comes on the pitch,” he added.
