Former Arsenal academy teammate comments on Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Ex-Arsenal talent Nico Yennaris has been talking about playing alongside Harry Kane in the Gunners academy.
Yennaris played in the same Arsenal under-8s team as Harry Kane, before the striker was let go.
Kane has gone onto establish himself as one of Europe’s top strikers, starring for Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham.
Yennaris stayed at Arsenal’s academy and even played for the first team briefly, before leaving in pursuit of regular football to join Brentford.
Ahead of the tie between the two clubs tonight, Yennaris talked about Kane’s release, and said that Benik Afobe was regarded as a better player.
He told The Mirror: “To be fair, when they let him go, we were so young so nobody knew where we would end up and how far we could really go.
“At my age group, for a lot of the time, it was more about Benik Afobe because he was a main man in our team at the time.”

Kane has previously admitted that it was his release by Arsenal which really made him kick on, and turned him into the player he is.
Afobe did go onto represent Arsenal, like Yennaris, only fleetingly.
He signed for Wolves in the summer, before being loaned out to Stoke City just days later.
His move is expected to be made permanent in January, with Wolves making a small profit.
