Nicklas Bendtner has reacted on Instagram to Arsenal’s 3-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday.

The former striker wrote on his Instagram story ‘so far it’s a good Sunday’, as he accompanied the caption with a picture of him watching the Arsenal-Tottenham game.

Life has been tough for Mikel Arteta this season, but they came to the party when it matters most today.

Inside the first half, they tore about their bitter rivals, with Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka getting on the scoresheet.

At the age of 20 years and 21 days, Saka became the second-youngest goalscorer for Arsenal in NLD, with none other than Bendtner sitting top of that pile.

Going into today’s game, both managers – Nuno Espirito Santo and Arteta – were under pressure because of how they have started the campaign.

Whilst Spurs started like a house on fire – winning their first three – they have since dropped quicker than a heavyweight boxer getting knocked to the canvas.

For the Gunners, prior to the last international break, they were sitting bottom of the Premier League table, on zero points and zero goals scored.

But since the return, they have won every single game and they are yet to concede.

It has been some turnaround from Arteta’s men and there’s no doubt the pressure is eased on the Spanish coach.

What is perhaps more pleasing for the Arsenal faithful is that two of their own academy products – Smith Rowe and Saka – got on the scoresheet.
