The teenage attacker has seized his chance at Liverpool and the future looks very bright.

The international break gives us the perfect opportunity to take stock of Liverpool’s campaign to date, with the award for their young player of the season going to 17-year-old Ben Woodburn.
The young attacker may have only featured seven times for the Reds to date but he has made an immediate impact; his innate talent clear for all to see and his first goal coming in the EFL Cup quarter-final victory against Leeds United.
Able to play on either wing or as a striker, Woodburn looks set to be the next big thing at Anfield, and with six goals in 12 under-23 appearances this season he clearly knows where the goal is.
Woodburn has been training regularly with Liverpool’s first-team in recent months and has clearly made the step up in the mind of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. The only question is: Will he fulfil his potential.
On early evidence the answer appears to be yes, and it will be interesting to see how the teenager develops in the next few years.
Only the very best teenage talent ultimately breakthrough at Anfield and stay there for the long haul, but Liverpool’s most impressive young player this season looks set to join that list.
