Arsenal have a number of very difficult and tricky attacking players.

Mikel Arteta has the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicholas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to name but a few.

And there must be some sessions at London Colney where all four terrorise Arsenal’s defensive players.

But Ben White, the club’s most expensive defender of all time following a £50 million summer move, claims that none of them are the most difficult to face in training.

That honour, according to White, goes to a certain Eddie Nketiah.

When asked on the club’s offcial Twitch channel who always give him a terrible time in training, White briefly said: “It’s probably Eddie you know.”

Mentality monster

It’s quite a surprising choice when you consider the other players that White comes up against at London Colney on a regular basis.

But this does speak volumes for Nketiah’s work ethic and hunger.

He is by no means the most talented player at Arsenal, but the fact that White rates him as the toughest in training nonetheless is such a glowing testament to the player’s mentality.

According to Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was listening to offers for the 22-year-old this past summer, with his contract set to expire next June.

A move away from Arsenal never materialised but, based on White’s comments, you just can’t back against Nketiah fighting his way to a new deal under the Spanish coach.
