Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that former Elland Road loanee Ben White is on his way to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
What’s the story?
The Athletic are reporting that Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle with Brighton and Hove Albion over the transfer of White.
The 23-year-old defender will complete a move to the Gunners from Brighton after he returns from his holiday.
The England international will then undergo a medical.
Arsenal have agreed to pay Brighton £50 million in transfer fee for the 23-year-old, who can also play at right-back or in midfield.
What are Leeds United fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, not every Leeds fan is convinced that White is worth £50 million.
While the Leeds supporters rate the 23-year-old highly, they do not all think that he is worth the transfer fee that Arsenal are paying.
White spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds from Brighton.
The youngster developed a lot under Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa and helped the Whites win promotion to the Premier League.
White played 46 matches in the Championship for Leeds in 2019-20.
