Ben Shelton has been featured more frequently on his footballer girlfriend Trinity Rodman’s social media.
Shelton is one of the best tennis players in the world, and currently holds the status of being American number one.
The world number seven is currently attempting to win his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, and Shelton has already reached the third round.
After beating Australian Dane Sweeny in straight sets, Shelton was asked about his relationship with Rodman.

Shelton has been dating Washington Spirit and USA footballer Rodman since March last year, with the high-profile relationship receiving a lot of attention.
As well as being an Olympic champion, Rodman also has a prominent social media presence with over 370,000 followers on TikTok.
Some of Rodman’s videos on TikTok have seen her doing dances with Shelton, who was asked how comfortable he feels doing this in his post-match press conference.
While he admitted it was not his thing, Shelton revealed that he just does whatever Rodman instructs him to in terms of these dances.
“Yeah, I get dragged into that every once in a while (smiling),” said Shelton. “Yeah, I think I’m good at following direction and whatever dances that Trinity wants to do.
“I don’t do every one, but I feel like I do a good bit of them when she asks me to. It’s not my thing, but… (laughter).”

Not only has Shelton featured on Rodman’s social channels, but he has also recently created his own YouTube channel where he releases vlogs of his life.
When asked about this Shelton admitted that he has been given a lot of support in this process, but claimed that he is ‘excited’ to give fans a look into his life away from tennis.
“Yeah, I’ve had, you know, a lot of help. A lot of it is not me,” said Shelton. “So, yeah, I’ve had a great team working on that, you know, between my agency, WME, and you know, the production company that I’ve been working with.
“It’s been pretty easy for me just to sit back and watch the magic happen. So I’ve kind of been excited to be able to tell my story a little bit and have people see, especially in this episode, some of the off-court stuff, the behind the scenes, in the offseason, away from tournament life. Yeah, that’s what I was most excited about, and I was pretty happy with the way that it turned out.”
Shelton was then asked a follow-up question about his YouTube channel, being asked just how much he wants to show of himself.
“I think it depends, right?” responded Shelton. “At certain times I’m, like, Hey, I don’t want to do anything today. At certain times I’m, like, yeah, I think it would be really cool to have a camera there.
“It’s important for me. Like, my camera guy, he’s a good friend. He’s like a fly on the wall. You don’t even notice that he’s there sometimes. He gets clips, and I’m not — I didn’t even realize he was recording.
“For me, it works perfectly that way. If I was, like, traveling around with a big crew with a bunch of, like, equipment and big cameras, that’s not something I would be comfortable with, but we’ve found a way to do it with the minimal amount of people and still make it look good. So that’s kind of why I agreed to it.”
Shelton will look to have his focus fully on tennis when he plays his third round match at the Australian Open.
This is where he will take on Shanghai Masters champion Valentin Vacherot, whom he has never played on the main tour before.
