Leeds United travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley in the Championship this Saturday.
Former Leeds United defender Ben Parker has told TV Yorkshire that while the Whites face a difficult task this Saturday trying to get another positive result, this time against Barnsley, he sees no reason why they cannot pick up another win.
Garry Monk’s men go into the clash with the Tykes having won six of their last seven games in all competitions. And they really proved their promotion credentials with an impressive 1-0 win over Derby County last time out.

And Parker believes that although Barnsley have a decent record against their Yorkshire rivals, especially at Oakwell, Leeds have the momentum to take the points back with them.
“As each challenge comes this season, I’ve been worried but we seem to have just barged through the door and just gone on to a different level, and I expect the same at Barnsley,” he told TV Yorkshire.
“Yeah it’s going to be a difficult game, yeah their crowd’s going to be up for it as well as the players. History’s not really great with us. I’ve gone there and been on [the end of] some shocking results but Derby’s meant to be our bogey team, look at what we just did them on Friday so everything gears towards us doing well.
“Tough game, but I’m going to go 2-1 to Leeds,” he later added when asked for his prediction.

Monk will undoubtedly be reminding his squad that despite their own form, there is no reason why Barnsley cannot secure the win as, like Leeds, they are also catching many by surprise this season.
Barnsley are 10th in the Championship, and are certainly still in the race for the play-off places. But their hopes of securing a top six spot will be dealt a significant blow if Leeds win on Saturday, so there is no doubt that they will be fully motivated.
But Parker is clearly confident that his old side have the right attributes to claim another important win.
