The 31-year-old former Leeds left-back has been impressed with the performances of the 19-year-old right-back so far this season, and has hailed his versatality.
Parker told LUTV about Shackleton: “If you ask Shackleton his best position, he will probably say central midfield as well. So he is actually doing it at right-back.”
“He is, for me, a typical Bielsa player,” added Parker. “He can play in two or three different positions, the energy that he shows.”
