Leeds United are currently sitting in the play-off places with eight games of the season remaining.

Pundit Ben Parker has stated that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa ‘loves’ the combination of Ezgjan Alioski and Barry Douglas.
The former Elland Road player also claimed that versatile player Alioski is ‘trusted’ because of his work rate and what he brings to the side.
During the Whites recent Championship encounter, where they were beaten 1-0 by promotion rivals Sheffield United, Douglas was brought on a second-half substitute to try and change the dynamic of the game.
Nonetheless, Speaking to LS11 Official YouTube account, Parker pointed out why the attack-minded Alioski and the defensive-minded Douglas are loved by their manager.
“From Bielsa’s point of view, he loves the combination of Alioski and Douglas,” Parker told LS11. “I think he likes Douglas’ qualities on the ball from a deep position.
“And with Alioski, he just trusts him. Trusts his work rate and trusts what he does for the side. He says he sacrifices himself for the side. He’s all about that.”

In recent months, Alioski, who is a natural winger, has been deployed at left-back by his manager, with bonafide full-back Douglas having to take up a place on the substitutes bench.
Over the course of the season, Alioski has played 37 league games for his side, scoring seven goals and supplying his teammates with five assists [transfermarkt]. Since the turn of the year, he has played at left-back.
By contrast, Douglas, who won promotion with Wolves last term, has played 25 matches for Leeds [transfermarkt], but injuries and the form of his attack-minded teammate have restricted his game time.
