Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn has suggested on the club’s official website that he and his teammates have been struggling with one aspect of Mark Warburton’s playing style.

Warburton was appointed the Forest manager in March following his departure from Scottish Premiership club Rangers in February.

“We are having a lot of the ball which is something we haven’t been used to this season,” Osborn told Forest’s official website.

“Results haven’t gone totally our way but hopefully it should suit us more now we have had time to work under the new gaffer to make The City Ground a bit of a fortress.

“It is something we need to work on. Playing out of the back, it does take a bit of time to master it, but we have the players that are good enough to do it.

“It suits us down to the ground and we need to be brave on the ball, everyone needs to want it and we need to look after it when we have got it.”

It seems that Forest have been struggling to play the way Warburton wants them to, but it must be positive for the fans to know that the players are coming to grips with it.

The problem is that the Reds are running out of games, and there is a distinct possibility that they could get relegated to League One at the end of the season.

Forest are 20th in the Championship table at the moment with 42 points from 40 matches, just two points above the bottom zone.

The Reds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on promotion candidates Huddersfield Town at the City Ground in the Championship.
