Ben Mee has raved about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
The Brentford defender has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:48pm, April 17, 2023) that Liverpool and Egypt international forward is one of the best players he has ever played against.
Mee has added that what surprised him about Salah was his strength.
The 33-year-old former Burnley defender made the comments about Salah, 30, in the build-up to the Premier League game between Leeds United and Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday evening.
Salah scored in the match.
Ben Mee on Liverpool ace Mo Salah
Mee said about Salah: “He is a fantastic player, probably one of the best I have played against, definitely one of the best I have played against.
“He works so hard for his team as well which I love about him. He is so difficult to defend against, one-on-one. He goes both ways.
“I remember actually the first time I played against him. I went for a blocked tackle with him. It really surprised me (how strong he was).”

HITC Verdict: World class
In our view, Mohamed Salah is a world-class forward who is one of the best players on the planet and is hugely important for Liverpool.
Now, the forward has not consistently played well for Liverpool so far this season, but he is still scoring the goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Salah was among the goals against Leeds on Monday evening, and he took them extremely well.
There is still a small chance that Liverpool could end up in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
And for that to happen, Salah will have to continue to bang in the goals in the final weeks of the season.
