Ben Foster has lavished praise on to Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson for their displays in the 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United.

The pair have not quite been at their scintillating best this season, with the latter especially being criticised from the very start, with the likes of Paul Merson, Michael Owen and Dean Saunders just recently calling him out.

But Ben Foster, much like any viewer was blown away by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, who dazzled for Liverpool as they tore Manchester United to shreds on Sunday.

Ben Foster raves about Trent Alexander-Arnold & Andy Robertson after Liverpool vs Manchester United

As Jurgen Klopp’s side pulverized Erik ten Hag’s men on the break, the pair’s ball-carrying and passing played a vital role, and both full-backs are perhaps one of the biggest figures behind the historic result.

Ben Foster praised both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson for their sparkling showings while breaking down how Liverpool demolished Manchester United on his YouTube channel, saying, “We were talking about [Andy] Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold and yesterday [Sunday] was one of their best games of the season, wasn’t it? Both of them doing what we know they can do.”

“Looking threatening when they go forward but defensively, very, very good. Andy Robertson in particular was just a Rolls-Royce, wasn’t he?”

The pair deserve their credit

As mentioned earlier, the legendary full-back duo emerged as major contributors in Jurgen Klopp’s game plan to take apart the visitors at Anfield.

Much like Ben Foster, every neutral was happy to see Andy Robertson, who impressed in particular win virtually every duel and kickstart each Liverpool attack against Manchester United with his tireless ball-carrying while Trent Alexander-Arnold sprayed balls in transition efficiently as per usual.

While the pair went about their business in different ways, the Red Devils simply had no answers to tame them, as seen especially with how Robertson’s assist for the opener left them in sixes and sevens.
