Leicester City took West Bromwich Albion apart during the second half at the Hawthorns yesterday.
West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s bitterly disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Leicester City yesterday, and shared what he and his teammates thought during the half-time break, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The hapless Baggies are currently firmly rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, and are eight points adrift of safety, with just eight games remaining this season.
West Brom have won only three league games all season long (just one since Pardew took over in November), and there is a toxic atmosphere currently engulfing the Hawthorns.
Foster admitted that his side were quite simply not good enough against the Foxes, when speaking to reporters, but explained how he and his teammates thought they could take something from the game during the half-time break, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“We were in the game and at half-time we thought we could get something out of it. But when heads drop like that it’s out of the manager’s hands.”
Next up for the Black Country outfit is a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday, and if they fail to win that game, they really can kiss goodbye any remaining hopes of survival that they still might have.
