The Tottenham Hotspur defender has been excellent this season.

Tottenham ace Ben Davies sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and raved about the quality of his teammate Davinson Sanchez, labelling the Colombian as ‘different class’.

The 21-year-old joined Spurs from Ajax in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £42 million, and he has since gone on to really impress for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Sanchez played 41 games in all competitions for the Lilywhites this season, and the standard of his displays were of such great quality that he managed to keep Toby Alderweireld out of the side during the second half of the season.

Davies highlighted the impact that the former Ajax man has had during his short time in north London, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, suggesting that his teammate has made the switch to the Premier League seem easy:

“Davinson has been different class and it’s easy to forget how young he is with the way he’s played. He’s made it look easy in his first season in the Premier League.”

Sanchez will have to display similar quality next season, if he is to establish himself as a regular feature in Pochettino’s side for the long-term.

The good thing for him is that he’s just 21, so he has plenty of years left to improve further still, and that must be a seriously tantalising prospect for Tottenham fans.
