Former Chelsea star John Terry has praised Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies on Twitter while watching him in action against Liverpool at Anfield.
The former Chelsea and England international central defender was impressed by a block that Tottenham’s Davies made in the second half of the Premier League game.
Davies, who is a left-back by trade but is playing as a centre-back in Antonio Conte’s system, stopped Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah from scoring.
The Premier League game between Liverpool and Tottenham at Anfield on Saturday evening ended in a 1-1 draw.

Important player
In our opinion, Davies is an important player for Tottenham and has been superb under Conte.
It is not easy for a left-back to play as a centre-back, but we think that the 29-year-old has adapted well to the role.
Davies now plays regularly for Conte’s Spurs when he is fit and available.
Yes, the Welshman did not look particularly confident in the opening minutes of the match, just like fellow centre-back Cristian Romero, but he grew into the game and was outstanding in the second half.
The Tottenham no. 33 has made 25 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
