Tottenham’s Ben Davies has penned a new deal with the club.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has taken to Twitter to react to his new contract, having penned a deal at White Hart Lane until 2021.
Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City back in the summer of 2014, in a deal which also saw Michel Vorm arrive at White Hart Lane, with Gylfi Sigurdsson heading to the Liberty Stadium.
The Welsh international defender made 14 Premier League appearances in his first season with Spurs as he battled with Danny Rose to be the club’s first-choice left back, and made another 17 Premier League appearances last season.
Davies has played just the 12 Premier League games this season, and has mostly been used in cup competitions since his arrival, whilst providing proven cover for Rose at left back.
With Rose injured right now, Davies is enjoying a run in the side, and whilst he has been criticised for some of his recent performances, he remains a dependable player in Pochettino’s squad.

The Sun reported in January that both Chelsea and Manchester City were keen to land Davies, but that possibility appears to have been extinguished by Spurs.
Tottenham confirmed his new four-year deal this evening, keeping him at White Hart Lane until 2021, and the Welshman took to Twitter earlier today in order to react, admitting that he was delighted to have put pen-to-paper, thanking fans for their support.
Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to respond to Davies’ message, praising him for being a model professional and for his great attitude, and want him to kick on with his performances – starting with Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Millwall at White Hart Lane.
