Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has suggested to the club’s official website that he wants to win the Premier League title by 2021.

Davies recently signed a new contract with Tottenham which will run until 2021, as announced on the club’s official website.

The 23-year-old left-back joined Spurs from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer of 2014.

The Wales international has suggested that he hopes to win the league title with the North London outfit by 2021.

“That’s tough!” Davies told Tottenham’s official website when asked where he would like to see the team by 2021.

“Our aim is to win trophies and win the Premier League, hopefully. Of course we all realise how tough that is but we’ll keep going, keep working hard and you never know what could happen.”

Target achievable?

Tottenham are a massive club and broke into the top four of the Premier League last season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are likely to end up in the Champions League places this season, and that is certainly progress.

Winning the Premier League title by 2021 may be tough, but it is possible. After all, Leicester City won the title only last season, and Spurs have a much better team and a much bigger club.

Spurs are second in the league table at the moment with 56 points from 27 matches, 10 points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea.
