Ben Davies has established himself as Spurs first-choice left-back despite Danny Rose’s return to fitness.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Ben Davies has been in unrivalled form this season on the left side of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven, but his wage hardly reflects that.
The 24-year-old has been excellent for the north Londoners this season, keeping Danny Rose out of the Spurs starting eleven for much of the season despite the England international’s return to fitness.
However, the former Swansea City left-back is hardly paid the same kind of wage in comparison to his Tottenham teammates. He is more than deserving of a pay rise, especially as he is on less than half of Danny Rose’s current pay cheque.

Signing a new four-year deal back in March 2017, the Daily Star claim Davies is earning just £30,000 a week at Wembley as chairman Daniel Levy continues to keep a tight stronghold in the Spurs coffers.
Now considered first choice over former Leeds United left-back Rose, Davies is surely more than deserving of a bumper new deal in terms of pay with Rose said to be earning a huge £65,000 a week.

Considering Davies is above Rose in the pecking order, the Wales international’s current pay cheque seems particularly harsh and if Pochettino is to keep him happy – a new deal must be tabled.
Davies could be rested on Saturday as Spurs face Huddersfield in the Premier League at Wembley, with the all-important Champions League second leg against Italian champions Juventus to take place next Wednesday.
