Ben Davies has told his press conference ahead of Tottenham’s Europa League encounter that ‘it’s evident’ that Gareth Bale is ‘happy’ at the club.
For a number of seasons now, Bale’s morale would have taken hit after hit because of the problems he faced at Real Madrid to the point where he was hardly playing.
That path has led him back to North London and he will be hoping he can showcase his best football to the Spurs faithful again.
Davies was asked about Bale’s character and mood around the place since his return to Tottenham this summer.
“I feel like I always saw him at his best when he was with Wales,” said Davies. “I haven’t seen too much difference in him, personally.
“But if you listen to the way people speak about how happy here. It’s evident to see every day. He’s buzzing around the place. Playing or not playing. He is supportive of the guys.
“Having someone of his presence. Someone with the history of winning stuff that he’s got then it lifts everybody here.”

It’s quite impressive that Tottenham are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and Bale hasn’t even started a league game during that period.
The Europa League games are helping his cause because it’s allowing Jose Mourinho to monitor the Welshman’s fitness and slowing charging his batteries.
It does seem as though Bale will be at his best when the second half of the season kicks in, which is perfect timing for Spurs because that’s when the trophies are won and the left-footed speedster understands how to win those in bucket loads.
