Ben Davies has come into Tottenham Hotspur’s team to replace Danny Rose.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has admitted to the Hamstead and Highgate that he feels that he has proven a point to Mauricio Pochettino through his recent form.

With Danny Rose out injured, Davies has been called upon to step into Spurs’ first-team.

The Welsh international made a slightly shaky start, but with more regular game time he has begun to thrive in the role.

Davies has looked capable of making the step up to Spurs’ first-team in recent weeks, with his performances earning a great deal of praise.

And the 24-year-old said, when asked whether he felt that he had proven a point: “Yes, possibly. It’s been nice to have a run of games and I feel I’ve performed quite well. When I get that chance to get on the field that’s what I’ve got to do.”

Davies’ place in Tottenham’s team could come under threat in the upcoming weeks, as Rose is due to return to fitness.

Rose is set to come back into training this week, with his comeback now imminent.

Tottenham’s next match comes against Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
