Ben Chilwell posts two-word verdict about Bukayo Saka v Iran

Ben Chilwell was extremely complimentary about Bukayo Saka and his brilliant showing via Instagram against Iran in England’s 6-2 demolition job to kickstart their World Cup campaign.

As the Three Lions kicked off their World Cup campaign in style, the Arsenal superstar grabbed the headlines by scoring a brilliant brace.

For his first goal, the 21-year-old struck a venomous volley to double England’s lead in style.

And for his second strike of the day, Saka showcased his sublime dribbling ability by leaving two defenders for dead before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

While several English players stood out against Carlos Queiroz’s side, the Hale End graduate was perhaps the pick of the bunch.

Chilwell sums up Saka’s masterclass in two words

Amongst the number of congratulatory messages directed at Bukayo Saka, one of them was injured left-back, Ben Chilwell who commented “On firee” on his Instagram post.

Despite Arsenal and Chelsea being fierce rivals, the Champions League winner put all enmity to one side by giving the youngster his due credit for shining against Iran.

After Saka missed the decisive spot-kick in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, he was on the receiving end of tons of unjust abuse from several fans online.

To see him respond in such emphatic fashion was proof of the England international’s undeniable mental strength at all times.

Ben Chilwell was certainly unafraid to praise Bukayo Saka, who deserves a lot of appreciation for being his typically excellent self against Iran.
