Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has told Sky Sports that he needs to improve on his kicking.
Ramsdale made the comments following Arsenal’s goalless draw with Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League at the weekend.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper – who cost Arsenal an initial £24 million in transfer fee when they signed him from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021, as reported by Sky Sports – played well again between the posts.
However, the English goalkeeper has said that he did not do well with his kicking and hopes to improve on it.
Ramsdale told Sky Sports: “I think my kicking today was not great, below par. If I can tidy that up, then I can really tie my game together and be happy every time after the game with my performance .”
Encouraging
It is quite encouraging to see Ramsdale being so self-critical in public.
The Arsenal goalkeeper is only 23, and clearly there is room for improvement in his game.
It is really good to see the Englishman know the weakness in his game.

Ramsdale is very good with his feet and is confident between the posts.
The goalkeeper claims crosses well and marshalls his penalty area brilliantly.
Bernd Leno is a Germany international goalkeeper, but Ramsdale is keeping him out of the Arsenal starting lineup at the moment.
Yes, he is that good.
