The race for Jude Bellingham’s signature has taken many twists and turns in recent weeks, but it seems as though the pendulum may now have, once again, swung in Liverpool’s favour.
Indeed, according to Bild’s Christian Falk, Bellingham’s family have now decided that they would prefer young Jude to go to Anfield rather than any other club.
This update is interesting in a number of ways.
Indeed, not only have Liverpool appeared to have nudged ahead in the race to sign the England international, they seem to have wooed the Bellingham family as a whole, a relationship that could, once again, prove beneficial in a few years’ time.
In case you didn’t already know, Jude isn’t the only jewel in the Bellingham family crown.
Yes, the England star also has a little brother who is a budding young star at Birmingham City by the name of Jobe.

Liverpool have previously sniffed around the younger Bellingham brother, and the fact that they seem to have won the family over would suggest that they could make some serious headway on that front should they wish to.
Of course, Jobe has a long way to go before he gets to the level required to play for Liverpool. He’s not even a regular for Birmingham yet, but he did only turn 17 in September, so the fact that he’s already played some semblance of senior football is impressive.
If Jobe can follow in Jude’s footsteps, England will have another star on their hands, and if Liverpool can maintain this good relationship with the Bellingham family, there’s reason to believe that a swoop for the Birmingham midfielder could be in the pipeline in a few years’ time.
This may be a situation to keep an eye on as Jobe matures into being a regular at St Andrews.
