The Arsenal fullback had a fine a game as the Gunners emphatically took all three points against Liverpool.
His name has gone somewhat under the radar this season, as a result of other young, more attacking players making the headlines, but make no bones about it, Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin is a star in the making.
The Spanish Under-21 international was superb against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, and below we look at how his stats stacked up from that game, which included a superbly taken goal with his weaker foot, Bellerin’s second of the season.

The Spaniard managed to dribble past as many players as Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez, the two boasting the most successful take-ons in the Arsenal team.
Obviously, the 20-year-old scored a fine sole effort to open the scoring at the Etihad, but he also played a key role in Sanchez’s effort, expertly playing the ball up to Aaron Ramsey for the Welshman to find the former Barcelona man.
Bellerin was also as strong as any other defender when it came to making tackles and making interceptions, and he won more duels for possession that any other member of the Arsenal back line.
In general, Bellerin was the most impressive fullback on display, and wasn’t really troubled until Raheem Sterling moved out wide in the second half, even if he he did give away the penalty that let Liverpool believe they had the faintest hope of getting back into the game.
Though he plays in a different position to Fabregas, it looks very much like Arsenal have obtained another gem from the Barcelona academy.
