Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:26pm, August 13, 2021) that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could have a problem if Hector Bellerin leaves and Calum Chambers is the first-choice right-back at the Gunners.
The former Liverpool defender was not impressed by the performance of Chambers during Arsenal’s defeat to Brentford in the Premier League on Friday evening.
Chambers started the London derby, while Bellerin was on the substitutes’ bench.
The Spanish right-back is on the radar of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, according to Calciomercatoweb.it.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was not impressed by Chambers’s performance against Brentford either.

Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:26pm, August 13, 2021), as transcribed by The Mirror: “I know Bellerin was on the bench, if Bellerin is moving on it really does look like a problem area.”
Neville said about Chambers: “He needs to play in a back three. He’s not a right-back in a back four and not a centre-back in a back two.
“The physicality that is expected at full-back now the back four the speed before and I was looking at the end here it was a honest performance but he falls short of the physical expectations.”

What to do with Hector Bellerin?
Neville and Carragher were very good defenders in their era and are now two of the best football analysts.
The Sky Sports pundits have raised some valid concerns about Bellerin and Chambers.
Now, Bellerin is not exactly a world-class player, but the 26-year-old is a capable full-back who is a better option than Chambers.
If Arsenal do sell Bellerin, then they have to bring in a new right-back.
Chambers can also operate as a central defender and is a good option to have in the squad, but manager Arteta needs better players if he wants to his challenge for the European places in the Premier League table this season.
