Kemar Roofe has predicted on Instagram that Leeds United will get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.
The former Leeds striker made the comment while responding to Mateusz Klich’s post on Instagram following the defeat to Cardiff City at the weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Cardiff away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship on Sunday.
While responding to Klich’s post on Instagram, Roofe – who left Leeds for Anderlecht in Belgium in the summer of 2019 – said that the Poland international midfielder and his teammates at Elland Road will clinch promotion.
Roofe responded: “You lot have got this”
Winning promotion
The defeat to Cardiff on Sunday was a disappointment for Leeds, but it must be noted that the Bluebirds are a good team who are aiming to finish in the Championship playoffs.
The Whites remain seven points clear of third-placed Fulham in second place the Championship table at the moment, and they do have enough quality in their squad to get the job done in the final games of the season.
Meanwhile, Leeds head coach Bielsa has explained his decision to take Luke Ayling off after 62 minutes.
Bielsa told Leeds Live: “I thought that Dallas was going be more of a presence in attack and as I though this couple was going to be more offensive than the other couple.”
