West Ham United and Everton could land their prime striker targets this summer if Romelu Lukaku’s latest comments are anything to go by.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic and Everton boss Ronald Koeman
The Hammers failed to deliver the big name, marquee striker signing co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold promised fans last summer.
Slaven Bilic‘s side have suffered as a result with an over reliance on injury-prone Andy Carroll who has once again spent as much time in the treatment room as he has on the pitch this season.
Strikers – and a proven Premier League goalscorer – is top of the priority list this summer for both West Ham and Everton with their prime targets said to be Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi.

Like Bilic, Ronald Koeman is also desperate for more firepower and the Toffees have been linked with a makeweight move for Batshuayi should – as is expected – ambitious star Romelu Lukaku returns to West London, as reported by Sky Sports.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku
Should that deal come to fruition Batshuayi will be out of the equation for the Hammers, the second time the club would have missed out on the Belgian in a year after he snubbed the East Londoners for Chelsea last summer.
But it would clear the path for Bilic to snare Iheanacho who has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park since West Ham’s initial interest, as reported by The Sun.
Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho
While the Toffees would arguably be trading down if they do lose Lukaku and get his Belgian compatriot Batshuayi, many supporters would accept it as good business given Lukaku’s stated desire to leave.
And most Irons fans would prefer a move for Iheanacho anyway, feeling he is exactly the type of striker they have been searching for.
