Jamie Carragher has posted on his Instagram story that he ‘would not expect anything else’ after former Manchester United star Gary Neville’s jibe at Liverpool’s Anfield.
The Liverpool legend first posted an image on his IG story of a sign inside Anfield which reads ‘in football, there are some iconic stadiums, only one is legendary, Anfield’.
Carragher then shared a screenshot of Neville DM’ing his Sky Sports colleague with the message ‘Bull___t’. You can fill in the blanks.

That’s the Manchester United legend in a nutshell for you because he clearly isn’t going to agree with that statement, but that didn’t stop Carragher from biting back.
The former centre-back then responded by posting ‘would not expect anything else’ added with laughing emojis, before mocking the Salford co-owner about his new book.
Carragher couldn’t help but also share that Neville was telling him to plug his new book ‘Gary Neville: The People’s Game’ by stating, ‘Abuse from @GNeville2 after begging me to post about his new book’.

RIVALS ON THE PITCH, FRIENDS OFF THE PITCH
Not many people would have envisaged when Carragher and Neville were going at each other throats in the colours of Liverpool and Manchester United that they would ever be such good friends off it.
Well, the life of punditry has brought just that because they are now as well-known for their work as pundits as they were as hard-hitting players.
But that will never stop the rivalry between the two, and despite Man United’s demise in recent times, both Liverpool and Man United are still two of the biggest clubs in England.
Erik ten Hag tasted victory in his first battle against Liverpool this season and he will become even more popular if he can win the reverse fixture at Anfield in March.
