Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Chelsea fans singing about them upon their return to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
With a small section of supporters allowed back into stadiums this week, Chelsea fans, prior to their win against Leicester last night, were chanting about their ‘hate’ for Tottenham prior to kick off.
A selection of Tottenham fans weren’t surprised by what they were hearing and how they were one of the first things on Chelsea supporters minds as they returned to the Bridge.
The game in itself had huge bearings for Spurs because Chelsea’s 2-1 win means that their London rivals can no longer finish in the top four.
But whilst Tottenham won’t be hearing the Champions League tune next season, those in West London might find themselves in the same boat.
Beat Aston Villa this Sunday – Tottenham’s opponents this evening – and a top four finish awaits, but lose and results go against them then they will need to win the competition itself against Manchester City to compete with the best of the best next term.
All in all, the Spurs faithful, who will be back in their own seats this evening, took interest to what they were hearing at the Bridge yesterday.
With Tottenham producing another indifferent season, Sky Sports reporting that Harry Kane wants to leave, and Chelsea seemingly being one of the interested parties, then anti-Daniel Levy and ENIC chants may just be the theme of the night.
Either way, it’s going to be interesting to see how Spurs supporters react to current affairs in North London because if they are angry and frustrated then they have every right to be.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Chelsea fans actions before yesterday’s game at the Bridge:
