Brentford manager praises ex Leeds United defender.

New Brentford boss Thomas Frank has no concerns over Pontus Jansson’s attitude.
Leeds United decided to sell the Swedish defender after manager Marcelo Bielsa decided he no longer wanted Jansson in his squad.
The Mirror report Bielsa decided Jansson was too much of an individual and not the right fit for his squad.
It’s been a tough decision for Leeds fans to take, as they considered Jansson’s passion and desire as key to making him the cult hero he is, or was.
While Bielsa reportedly felt Jansson was too overbearing for his style of management, or in relation to the rest of the squad, his new manager in West London has no concerns.
Thomas Frank told Brentford’s official website: “Pontus is a top defender who brings immense professionalism, a great attitude, experience, defensive robustness, leadership qualities, and threat from set pieces to our side.
“Everyone knows about the Brentford model but to develop the young players we have here, we also need experience and quality in the squad to get the perfect balance.”

That sounds like the Jansson Leeds fans know. Marcelo Bielsa obviously feels he has a better grasp on Jansson day to day.
Both managers appear to have got what they wanted.
Now Jansson’s Brentford journey begins.
