Tottenham Hotspur fans have called for Davinson Sanchez to be left in their starting line-up, after his display on Sunday against Burnley.
Tottenham’s attacking performance caught the eye against Sean Dyche’s side, with Gareth Bale taking most of the headlines.
However, Spurs’s defence also looked water-tight throughout the game, which has been a rarity this season.
Sanchez was in excellent form alongside Toby Alderweireld at the back, as he dominated Burnley’s strikers in the air.
There was also a moment when Matej Vydra threatened to break through, but Sanchez outpaced the Burnley forward and then outmuscled him.
It was arguably the £42 million (Guardian) Colombian’s best display of what has been a difficult season to date.
And Tottenham fans were quick to demand that he keeps his place after the club tweeted footage of the centre-back’s performance at the weekend earlier today.
