Tariq Hinds has announced on Instagram that he has left Tottenham Hotspur.
Hinds, a veteran for Spurs at youth level, has left the North London club after spending four years in their development squad.
Despite making over 100 appearances for Tottenham’s Under-23, 18s and 17s, the 20-year-old failed to progress into the senior side.
On Thursday, he simply posted ‘It’s been a pleasure’, followed by a compilation video of his best bits for the Lilywhites.
It’s a pretty succinct – some would say blunt – parting message by Hinds and it’ll be interesting to see where he winds up in the near future.
One thing is for sure: Mourinho clearly wasn’t convinced by him in the slightest.
The Portuguese isn’t rich with quality right-back options. Hell, even Serge Aurier, Mourinho’s only right-back at the moment, can be something of a bombscare at the very best of times.
But the fact that Hinds was nowhere near the senior set-up indicates that Mourinho had no intention of using him, even in desperate times like these
